Netgear Powerline HD Network Adapter Kit

NETGEAR HDXB101. $119 Frys.  Installation was extremely easy. Just plug each unit into an AC outlet and connect Ethernet cables to the devices you want to connect. In my case it was my wireless router in the basement and my PC upstairs.

Powerline Networking

I haven’t had a real reason to investigate this intriguing networking option until last week. I’ve been suffering with a spotty wireless connection from my upstairs office PC to the access point in the basement, so I’m looking into cheap and easy solutions for getting something reliable hooked up.
